While Fusion Box Film’s short documentary is called Cannoli, the Cannoli is a vehicle that delved deeper into the importance about keeping Italian traditions alive from generation to generation. Instead of treating the poster like a typical food documentary poster, where the Cannoli is front and center, we framed the cannoli within an overhead shot of a family sitting down at the table, making the Cannoli an accent, and took inspiration from vintage movie posters to communicate the importance and history of such a food within the Italian heritage. We also carried this tone through to the titles and credits within the film.
